The Way’s Aspiring Leaders is designed on the principles and process used in the other programs of The Way as designed by Jeff Spadafora who spent 20 years in the leadership development space and has an additional 19 years of life coaching and spiritual direction expertise. 

The Aspiring Leaders program is led by Jeff Hahl, a graduate of The Way’s Emerging Leaders program.  Jeff is a real estate investor with over a decade of young adult mentoring and coaching experience in the US and Rwanda. He will guide and coach you through program topics including:

What’s Included

Program Structure

 Experience bi-monthly cohort meetings over dinner, where we delve into these critical life topics along with hearing from expert guest speakers.

 

Exciting Trips and Events

In addition to the cohort meetings, you get to participate in thrilling adventures and meaningful experiences that can include:

  • Rocky Mountain Weekend Cohort Retreat: Spend a weekend in the mountains, connecting with your cohort members and boating on Lake Granby. 

  • International Mission Trip: Embark on a 10-day mission trip to Africa and experience the culture and people on the other side of the world while making an impact. 

  • Mountain Adventure Trip: Enjoy fly fishing, hiking, shooting, and networking in the great outdoors.

  • Mountain Bike Trip: Experience two full days of mountain biking and community bonding in Fruita, CO, with men from other Cohorts.

  • Spiritual Retreats: Experience God’s peace and build your connection with Jesus at the Sacred Heart Retreat House.

  • All-Member Events: Join our vibrant community for BBQs, happy hours, and gatherings throughout the year.

Program Requirements

To qualify for the Aspiring Leaders program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

 

  • Age Requirement: Applicants must be between 18 to 24 years old, ensuring a focused and dynamic cohort experience tailored to young men navigating this pivotal stage of life.

  • Commitment: We seek individuals who are committed, ready, and willing to lean into the program's transformative journey. Dedication and enthusiasm are key attributes we value in our participants.

  • Attendance: Participants must commit to attending all meetings and coaching sessions. Consistent attendance is essential for maximizing the program's benefits and fostering a supportive cohort environment.

  • Selective Enrollment: Aspiring Leaders operates on an invite-only basis, with enrollment limited to only 10 men per cohort. This selective approach ensures personalized attention, meaningful connections, and a close-knit community of aspiring leaders.

Cost: Free for Accepted Applicants

Thanks to the generosity of our The Way donors, the Aspiring Leaders Program is available at no cost for accepted and committed applicants. That's right - no tuition fees are required. Our donors recognize the importance of investing in your future and are committed to supporting your growth and development. This program typically costs individuals $10,000 per year, but through the support of our donors, we are proud to offer it for free to our selected participants.

 

Refundable Deposit: $500

To ensure the program's success and the commitment of our participants, we require a fully refundable deposit of $500. This deposit serves as a symbol of your dedication to the program and ensures that the resources allocated for aspiring leaders are utilized effectively.

 

How It Works

If you attend all required meetings and coaching sessions, you will receive a full refund of your $500 deposit. However, if you miss any meetings, you may forfeit a portion of your deposit. You will lose up to $50 for each missed meeting, with the remainder of your deposit refunded to you.
